Dr. Ibrahim Akoum is HOME Magazine’s honorary advisor on business and economics, and a member of the HOME family. He is an expert in macroeconomics, international trade, financial markets and their links to government and law. He holds a doctorate in political economy and a master’s degree in policy analysis from the University of Texas- Dallas. He served as the dean of the College of Business Administration of Rafik Hariri University in Lebanon, and has written many books and articles on international economics, capital markets, globalization and governance.
He has solid professional experience, having worked at the World Bank and in senior positions at the Arab Monetary Fund, along with extensive advisory and consulting experience with regional and international development organizations and governments including the United Nations (ESCWA), and The Arab League and Dubai Council for Economic Affairs (DCEA).
